Zanaflex uses:
Zanaflex is a drug used to relax certain muscles. It can help to relieve,
but not cure muscle spasms (or muscle tightening) caused by medical problems
such as multiple sclerosis or injuries to the brain or spine.
Zanaflex contraindications: Do not take this medicine
if you are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine.
How to use Zanaflex:
How much medicine you take and how often you take it depends on many factors,
including the condition being treated and the age and weight of the patient.
If you have any questions about the amount and/or frequency of the medicine
you are taking, talk with your doctor. Take each dose with a full glass
of water. Do not stop taking this medicine or change the dose without
checking with your doctor. This could have serious adverse effects. Zanaflex
is usually taken several times a day. Do not take more than three doses
of Zanaflex - or more than 36 mg in 24 hours.
If lightheadedness, dizziness, fainting, dry mouth, drowsiness or weakness
occurs while taking this medication, contact your health care provider
immediately. This medication may cause dizziness, lightheadedness or fainting,
especially when rising or standing. If these symptoms should occur, sit
or lie down and contact your health care provider. Use caution while driving
or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination or physical
dexterity. Avoid alcohol and other medicines that may cause drowsiness
(such as benzodiazepines, baclofen) while you are taking this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you are taking an oral contraceptive. Your doctor
may have to adjust the dose of this medicine. Lab tests or exams may be
required to monitor treatment. Be sure to keep appointments. Patients
with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider
before taking this medication. Do not take any other over-the-counter
or prescription medications without talking with your doctor.

side effects. Taking too high of a dose of Zanaflex can cause side effects.
Ask your doctor before you reduce your dose, or stop taking the medicine.
This medicine may cause blurred vision; constipation; drowsiness; dry
mouth; tiredness or weakness. If these side effects persist, worsen or

Do not suddenly stop taking this medicine. Ask your doctor for advice
on how to gradually reduce the dose of your medicine, before stopping
