Soma Medical Uses
Soma (carisoprodol), a muscle relaxant, is used with rest, physical therapy, and other
measures to relax muscles and relieve pain and discomfort caused by strains,
sprains, and other muscle injuries. Muscle relaxers are for specific muscle
injury and pain and should not be used for general body aches and pains.
Soma works by blocking nerve impulses (or pain sensations) that are sent
to your brain. telling your brain to relax the muscles.

One of the uses of Watson Soma is a relieve of pain caused by strain or other
muscle injuries. Your bones are supported by a combination of muscles
and tendons. Tendons connect muscles to bones. A strain is the result
of an injury to either a muscle or a tendon. The strain may be a simple
stretch in your muscle or tendon, or it may be a partial or complete tear
in the muscle-and-tendon combination. This type of injury often occurs
when muscles suddenly and powerfully contract - or when a muscle stretches
unusually far. People commonly call muscle strains pulled muscles. Hamstring
injuries are among the most common strains. For a strain, seek medical
help immediately if the area quickly becomes swollen and is intensely
painful or if you suspect a ruptured muscle or broken bone. Also seek
medical help in case if the pain, swelling and stiffness of less severe
strains don't improve much in two to three days.
