Motrin Medical Uses
Motrin (Ibuprofen) is in a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory
drugs (NSAIDs). Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS) work
by suppressing the production of fatty acids called prostaglandins that
cause inflammation and pain. They do this by blocking the action of
an enzyme, cyclooxygenase (COX). This enzyme is responsible for converting
precursor acids into prostaglandins. Ibuprofen works by reducing hormones
that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Motrin is used to reduce
the fever, pain, inflammation, and stiffness caused by many conditions,
such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and abdominal cramps associated
with menstruation. Ibuprofen may also be used for purposes other than
those listed here

Order Motrin (Ibuprofen) for pain relief
Rheumatoid arthritis is believed to be the result of an autoimmune response.
Elements of the body's immune system fail to recognize natural body
chemicals as normal and attack these chemicals as if they were invaders.
When rheumatoid arthritis affects the joints, the immune system first
attacks the synovium. This is the lining tissue in the joint. The joint
lining thickens as it becomes inflamed and damages cartilage and bone.
Enzymes released during the inflammatory process damage the joint further.
Rheumatoid arthritis causes disease both in the joints and other body
organs. The joint disease first manifests itself as an inflammatory
disease that is characterized by pain, morning stiffness, fever, and
swelling of the joints. With time, the disease becomes chronic, and
the underlying cartilage and bone in the joints are damaged. The bone
becomes thinner, and the cartilage becomes narrow and worn away. Once
cartilage has been lost, the damage is irreversible. Over time, the
inflammation starts to subside, but by this time the joints are deformed
and function deteriorates. Motrin is used to reduce the pain, inflammation,
and stiffness caused by rheumatoid arthritis.
