Fioricet Medical Uses
Fioricet is a butalbital compound used as a pain reliever and sedative. The tablet contains
50 mg of Butalbital, 325 mg of Acetaminophen and 40 mg Caffeine.
Acetaminophen (also known as Paracetamol)
is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). Butalbital is a barbiturate that slow down central nervous system causing relaxation.
This agent is often combined with other medications. Barbiturates may be habit-forming. Caffeine is a stimulant believed to constrict dilated blood vessels that may contribute
to tension headaches. Butalbital combination medications
are used to relieve complex tension headaches and migraines.

Fioricet to relieve Tension Headaches
