Claritin D (loratadine and pseudoephedrine) can provide
all-day relief from allergy symptoms.
Loratadine is an antihistamine. It works against the naturally
occurring chemical histamine in the body. Loratadine prevents
sneezing; runny nose; itching, watery eyes; and other allergic
symptoms. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant. It constricts (shrinks)
blood vessels (veins and arteries). By decreasing blood flow,
it decreases congestion. Loratadine and pseudoephedrine is used
to relieve symptoms of allergic conditions.
Temporarily relieves these symptoms due to hay fever or other
upper respiratory allergies:
- nasal congestion
- runny nose
- sneezing
- itchy, watery eyes
- itching of the nose or throat
- reduces swelling of nasal passages
- temporarily relieves sinus congestion and pressure
- temporarily restores freer breathing through the nose
