Carisoprodol Medical Uses
Carisoprodol, a muscle relaxant, is used with rest, physical therapy,
and other measures to relax muscles and relieve pain and discomfort caused
by strains, sprains, and other muscle injuries. Muscle relaxers are for
specific muscle injury and pain and should not be used for general body
aches and pains. This medication works by blocking nerve impulses (or
pain sensations) that are sent to your brain.

- Adults and teenagers: 350 mg four times a day.
- Children 5 to 12 years of age: 6.25 mg per kilogram (2.5 mg per pound) of body weight four times a day.
