Order Aciphex to treat Peptic Ulcer Disease
Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD) is the presence of an ulcer - a crater-like
sore in the lining of the stomach or upper part of the small intestine.
There are two types of ulcers related to PUD: Gastric Ulcers - which are
ulcers found in the stomach. Duodenal Ulcers - which are ulcers formed
in the upper part of the small intestine. Ulcers can cause serious complications:
bleeding, holes in the stomach or intestine that causes digested food
and bacteria to spill into other areas of the body, narrowing or blockage
of the intestinal opening . There are following drug classes used to treat
Peptic Ulcer Disease: Antacids, Cytoprotective Agents, Helicobacter Pylori
Treatment Regimens, Histamine-2 Receptor Blockers, Proton Pump Inhibitors.
Hydrochloric acid is released by the proton pump (ATPase pump) located
within the parietal cells of the stomach. Proton pump inhibitors bind
to the ATPase enzyme, suppressing gastric acid output. They relieve pain
and heal peptic ulcers faster than H2 blockers but are typically more
expensive. There are following Proton Pump Inhibitors: Esomeprazole (Nexium),
Lansoprazole (Prevacid), Omeprazole (Prilosec), Rabeprazole (Aciphex).
