Generic Name: Dicyclomine
The following product information is not intended to replace the physician's
or manufacturer's instructions.
Bentyl Common Medical Uses :
Bentyl treats different bowel problems including irritable bowel syndrome.
It is believed to be effective in reducing spasm of the bowel. Bentyl
relieves spasms of the gastrointestinal tract (stomach and intestines)
by blocking the actions of spasm-causing chemicals in the body. Generic
dicyclomine capsules and tablets are available.
How to Use Bentyl:
Take Bentyl tablets or capsules by mouth. Follow the directions on the
prescription label. Swallow the tablets or capsules with a drink of water.
It is best to take dicyclomine on an empty stomach, 30 minutes to 1 hour
before meals. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your
medication more often than directed.
