Amitriptyline is used to treat depression, obsessive - compulsive disorders, and bed-wetting in children over 6 years of age (enuresis). This medication is sometimes prescribed for other uses.

Continue to take the drug even if you feel well. Do not stop taking this medicine abruptly without consulting with your doctor, especially if you have taken large doses for a long time.
